SPARK TEL AVIV is a mentoring and funding program with the purpose of accelerating scientific discoveries toward the development of therapeutics for diseases. This program aims to bridge the gap between academic research and the requirements of the healthcare industry. Our mission is to assist researchers from TAU and affiliated hospitals in navigating the challenges associated with translating their early discoveries from the laboratory to patients, utilizing more efficient and cost-effective ways. We are dedicated to expediting the progress of novel therapeutics by offering funding, education, and mentorship to adequately support their practical implementation in clinical settings.

IAP was established in 2013 with the primary objective of fostering an ongoing dialogue between the industry and academia. The organization's purpose is to initiate, strengthen, and establish long-term connections and collaborations between the academic institutions and the technological industry in Israel. It aims to create a synergistic relationship by aligning the research and educational goals of the academy with the objectives of the companies, incorporating the companies' goals into the academy's agenda. The organization utilizes its platform to actively listen to the industry's needs, facilitating various forms of collaboration between the industry and the academy. These collaborations encompass research and development, student and graduate recruitment and placement, joint final projects with industry involvement, educational content, events, and more. Recognizing that each company within the industry has distinct requirements, IAP customizes a dedicated approach tailored precisely to the measurements and specifications of each partner.
